CryoTDSー100H2 heats the sample in an ultra high vacuum, so hydrogen released from the sample can be directly detected. In contrast, other methods heat the sample in a gas atmosphere, which may cause the sample to react with the atmospheric gas to produce hydrogen, which can cause errors. Heating in an ultra high vacuum environment allows for highly accurate measurements.
