Samples with low infrared absorption
With the infrared heating method equipment, materials with high infrared transmittance, such as glass, and materials with high infrared reflectance, such as gold-plated films, have an extremely low infrared heating efficiency and must be heated indirectly.
For example, for a sample like a sheet of glass or a flat sample whose entire surface is covered with a gold plating film, the sample is placed on the SiC sintered sample stage (infrared absorber) and heated.
For powder samples with high infrared transmission, a special carbon with low degassing is used for heating.
